Authors are available to give lectures on Spatial Statistics and/or teach the SAM training course.

SAM courses are mainly directed to students in ecology, evolutionary biology, biogeography and macroecology, as the examples and datasets used during the lectures and exercises reflect authors' research interests and expertise.

The full course takes 40 hours (week), split into 24 hours of lectures on Spatial Statistics (Mon - Wed) and 16 hours of SAM hands-on lab exercise/training (Thu - Fri). We have also taught successful shorter versions of the course (two and three days), and one-day workshops.

The PowerPoint presentation of the full course can be downloaded here. Lab exercises are here.

Online version of author's CV can be found at: Rangel, Diniz-Filho and Bini.

These courses can be taught in English, Portuguese or Spanish (actually, Portuñol). They are discussed under formal invitation of academic units worldwide. Courses are free of charge, but since the SAM project does not include funding for courses, it is required that travel and daily expenses are paid by those who are inviting.

We specially encourage invitations from academic institutions in Latin America, Africa and Asia.
